Track different behavioral endpoints.
Zebratower is evolutive into GranView 3D tracking system.
Tracking of zebrafish locomotor performance should integrate a 3D video tracking capture in order to capture the whole behavioral endpoints. We will implement a second zebratower setup with a vertical IR light and a side camera to calcule the Z coordinate. Our software will synchronize the camera at the frame / 33 ms and run a live analysis.
This means proper visualization of adult zebrafish :
- X YZ position coordinates
- 3D Trajectory
- Time spent in 2D Areas of the zebrafish tank
- Entry count in each areas of interest
- counting for each speed class
- Time duration in each speed class
- distance swum by the animal within different speed clas
- transition count

Detecting adult zebrafish movement can be challenging in an open environment such as ZebraTower, particularly when performing tests requiring a light and sound proof environment in order to avoid stress and any bias in the measure of zebrafish locomotion. Simply place the tank on the Infrared back light. The camera is set up on a fixed stand at the ideal distance to track several tanks located on the IR light area.
